Thrive Community Services Employment Services program will be the featured spotlight of the Business After Hours Event on Thursday September 28 from 5 - 7pm at The Hub, 143 E Main St Galesburg, IL 61401. Businesses that participate in the program are encouraged to attend.
The program guides individuals with developmental disabilities through the process of finding a job. From practice interviews, creating a plan and continuous coaching throughout the job, the employment specialists work to set the individual up for success in the job market.
The program also helps local businesses to find the best fit for their team, provide knowledge for staff and act as a liaison between the employer and individual.
Established in 1956, Thrive Community Services has a long history of advocating and providing services in Galesburg. Current programs include community day services, community employment services, SOAR respite program and Gordon Behrents Senior Center. Today, the organization serves over 300 individuals.
